Position Profile
Marian High School (www.marianhighschool.net), a
vibrant and growing Catholic college preparatory secondary
school serving 700 young women in Omaha, Nebraska, founded by
the Servants of Mary in 1955, seeks a creative and visionary
Head of School to carry on its strong tradition of academic
excellence and faith formation.
Elizabeth Kish is retiring at the conclusion of
the 2008-09 academic year, having successfully served as Head of
School for the past twenty years. Betsy is highly regarded and
well-respected both within the Marian High School community and
throughout the greater Omaha area and beyond.
The new Head of School at Marian will be a
committed professional who promotes, and is a role model for,
the empowerment of young women. The successful applicant will
demonstrate compassion, integrity, poise, and good judgment
while being responsible for promoting a strong institutional
advancement program, continuing and enhancing strategic
planning, supporting strong and well-respected athletic and
co-curricular programs, and sustaining a vibrant community
spirit. Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire
excellence and cooperation from all constituent groups are
critical skills needed to be successful in this position.
The successful applicant will embrace the

Applicants must possess the minimum of a
Master’s Degree in Educational Administration or related field,
the ability to obtain appropriate licensure, successful Catholic
school administrative experience (secondary level preferred),
and demonstrate a commitment to Catholic secondary education for
young women. Salary is competitive and commensurate with
