Position Profile

Marian High School (www.marianhighschool.net), a vibrant and growing Catholic college preparatory secondary school serving 700 young women in Omaha, Nebraska, founded by the Servants of Mary in 1955, seeks a creative and visionary Head of School to carry on its strong tradition of academic excellence and faith formation.

 Elizabeth Kish is retiring at the conclusion of the 2008-09 academic year, having successfully served as Head of School for the past twenty years.  Betsy is highly regarded and well-respected both within the Marian High School community and throughout the greater Omaha area and beyond.

 The new Head of School at Marian will be a committed professional who promotes, and is a role model for, the empowerment of young women.  The successful applicant will demonstrate compassion, integrity, poise, and good judgment while being responsible for promoting a strong institutional advancement program, continuing and enhancing strategic planning, supporting strong and well-respected athletic and co-curricular programs, and sustaining a vibrant community spirit.  Strong leadership and communication skills to inspire excellence and cooperation from all constituent groups are critical skills needed to be successful in this position.
